It’s been a crazy year, hasn’t it? People worrying about money, jobs, health, housing, the economy, the environment……..a bit much I say! Doom and gloom all over the T.V. and newspapers. With so much focus on negativity, it may be hard to find something to be thankful for. I know for me personally, it’s been a struggle to stay positive. Not knowing where the money’s going to come from and needing to spend it in order to further my career, grow my business, keep my dream alive and basically, to survive! Stress is something we’re all too familiar with but wouldn’t it be nice to live stress-free? What’s the solution?
Well, I’ve taken a moment to step back, clear my mind of clutter and breathe. I’ve re-evaluated my situation, re-adjusted my attitude and re-examined my purpose, goals, and my dreams and I’ve come to a conclusion. I am exactly where I need to be and I’m here in order to get to where I want be. Taking a look at my life, I can honestly say I am very thankful for the times I was buried in work because this meant I was helping someone. I am thankful for the times I was out of work for those times allowed me to gather my resources, learn more and grow. I’m thankful I’ve always had a roof over my head, food on my table, friends to kick me in the butt when I got to depressed and family to always cheer me on.
So, don’t be a turkey and wallow in the doom and gloom. That’s not healthy living! Don’t focus on what you don’t have, focus on what you do have because there’s always something to be thankful for. Sometimes you just have to look a little harder to see what it is.
Have a Happy, Healthy, Stress-Free Thanksgiving!!!
